Here’s another fun cabinet card from the UK. The words “Photo Co-op” are printed below the photo in the lower left corner. I didn’t find any reference online to a studio by that name, and the card has no other information on it.
The photographer added tiny spots of ink to the eyes of the young men standing in back, and possibly the others, to make them appear more life-like. That was a relatively common trick, but it can be disconcerting when obvious, especially when expanded on a computer screen.
The costumes are elaborate and beautifully constructed, which leads me to think these young people were actors in a play. It’s also possible they were dressed up for a festival or other special event.
Gasp!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Yep, their costumes are quite something! (Though the boy’s lace-edged leggings look like someone’s tablecloth may have been torn apart for them!)
The ‘Photo Co-op’ probably wasn’t the studio but the printer and is probably part of a local co-operative shop or society. Read this: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_co-operative_movement

I hadn’t thought of it possibly being a printer. Good suggestion, Val. Thank you.
